Thank You Dinner for Octavio



And but a small token of our appreciation for Octavio's care and feeding of Cafe Drake's most prized possession, our ailing official mascot Sailor Page, while we toured Vermont's Lake Champlain and Northeast Kingdom regions. It all began with Vodka Collins and ended with remixes of 3OH!3; in between we knoshed on a vegetarian meal of broiled tofu, an Indian-style semolina pilaf, watercress salad and farm fresh yellow squash. Next was a plate of Vermont's own Trappist organic goat cheese from Doe Leap Farms (snagged by Cafe Drake and Jen Ruske at Burlington's farmer's market) sided with mango chutney and a sip of a Muscat dessert wine, followed by marzipan. Looks like both Sailor and Octavio were well taken care of!
