Eva's Greenpoint Garden Parties

Cafe Drake's friend and Greenpoint neighbor Eva Prokop has one of the most bucolic backyards in Brooklyn, lushly landscaped and illuminated at night by dangling bulbs evocative of a Mediterranean sidewalk cafe. Just as enchanting is the spread appearing on her table: sesame noodles, stuffed grape leaves, white bean salad, a relish of roasted corn with avocado and scallions, Turkish bread, a variety of cheeses and mojitos made from the garden's bountiful supply of peppermint.
