Macaque Mayhem in Williamsburg

Killing it live last night at W'burg's Lolita party at Death by Audio (a cheerfully retro space recalling the former glory days of North Brooklyn's mid-90s party boom, complete with smoking section and homemade corner bar stocked with only the finest bottom-shelf booze) was the electro-pop duo Macaque. Beatmaster Chris Hart and mic siren Evers delivered a short but stinging set that started the party off right, with both zealous fans and flash bulbs popping. Liquid refreshment and sugar/malt liquor/caffeine hangovers provided by free cans of Sparks. Influenced by everything and swayed by a breeze, Cafe Drake will be celebrating the upcoming release of the Chinatown EP with Tab Energy drink and rum!
