What's Good at Cafe Drake HRV?

Our basic infusion instructions for Cafe Drake HRV's Cuke & Lemon Thyme Gin can be found in an earlier post below. Freshen up your cocktail hour in June by mixing the infused liquor with a splash each of simple syrup and fresh lemon juice. Stir and add ice and a seltzer topper.
Bright and zesty green sauces are our new Summer Must Have. Try this variant: blend/process together about 1/4 cup pitted green olives of choice with 1/2 cup olive oil, the juice of 1/2 lemon, 2 T. rinsed capers, 1 sliced scallion, 1/2 green bell pepper (chopped), some fresh oregano and thyme leaves and salt and pepper to taste. Thin with water and adjust seasoning accordingly if using as a salad dressing or drizzle for sliced tomatoes.

My, how our garden daikon have grown since last mention, yes? The radishes are still smaller than we hoped but we're crazy about the spicy greens, stewed with onions, garlic and ginger.

Guess who still loves bread and cheese for lunch? Above, toasted seven-grain sourdough with havarti, scallions and pickled carrots and jalapenos.
