What Are We Going to Do?

Occasionally Cafe Drake the Website must delve into somber and heavy issues, and though we try hard to maintain a chipper exterior, it is time to share tragic news with our much-loved visitors. Cafe Drake's 11-year Official Mascot, Sailor Page, after months of weight loss and perplexing digestive disturbances, has been diagnosed this week with Feline Leukemia.

While we were once certain Sailor would, keeping his pre-diabetes condition in check, celebrate at least his 16th Birthday with us, his doctor has suggested he has 6-12 months left as our best friend and kitchen/dining room accomplice. Rest assured these final days shall be a glimpse of upcoming Heaven for Sailor, as he now dines daily on whipped cream, butter pats and chocolate ice cream. And has recently packed a much-needed two+ pounds on his shrinking frame! If so inclined please include Sailor Page in your nightly prayers. And Cafe Drake thanks you.
