how did the mole come out? did the fish stand up to the richness of it?

Yes it did for the most part. I made a mole not terribly thick however, and less cocoa and oil and more leaning towards dried chile puree (soaked pasilla, mulato and ancho). Oddly, like soups and stews, leftovers for lunch tasted better. I'm thikning scallops would be a nice rich/rich flavor combo, si?
