Our First Attempt at Stuffed Grape Leaves





Think of these as a blank canvas of sorts, tangy and briny parcels to be filled according to your momentary whims Cafe Drake's recent version was vegetarian and consisted of cooked brown basmati rice mixed with spices, dried cranberries, chopped parsley and onions and minced walnuts. Be sure to salt the mixture aggressively as the long baking time for the leaves, submerged in water, tends to wash out the flavors a wee bit.
