The shaded backyard Clinton Hill patio of Jen Ruske and Anthony Castro is the loveliest of spots to sip and dine beneath the stars, especially given the consistently superb offerings from both kitchen and grill. Friends Dan and Trish, along with Cafe Drake, were recently hosted here, and upon the groaning buffet board: fresh mozzarella Salad Caprise with anchovies and homegrown basil; broiled parcels of prosciutto bundled around fresh figs and mozzarella; grilled jumbo sea scallops wrapped in bacon; grilled head-on prawns; corn and potatoes with rosemary and Gruyere sausages. Naturally things were kept rolling with white and rose wines, beer, spirits and turns upon the hammock.
