Easter Brunch 2007 a la Lazzaro

Cafe Drake longtime friend and magnificent hostess Jennifer L. was kind enough to invite us for Easter Brunch 2007, and what a pleasant change it was to dine at Chez Lazzaro on this snowy Spring holiday. Jen's sister Margaret was in attendance as well, and of course house diva Gretel. We began with Bloody Marys and Bruschetta with Carmelized Onions and Parmesan and olives on the side. Our main course consisted of moist roasted pork loin with a peach chutney glaze, sided by turnip puree and oven-roasted beets. A dessert of shortbread, licorice jelly beans, chocolate and coffee was the perfect end to a leisurely Sunday afternoon spent in good company, drinking good wine and enjoying scrumptious food.
